June is National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month and we need your help NOW to make it a success! Here are two programs we need volunteers for in order to accomplish them in June.
Ceremonial proclamations can be requested from your state or local officials, showing their support for National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month. The proclamation specifies the number of Americans who live with this disease, the debilitating effects it has and the economic burden associated with lost productivity due to migraine.
Light Up the Landmarks
Light Up the Landmarks is a simple and fun way to unite pain patients and create awareness in the community. Many government, historical or private landmarks can be illuminated with a specific color in honor of campaign or movement. For those living with migraine, headache and cluster diseases, seeing the purple hue will validate their pain journey, feel supported by their community and most importantly, recognize that they are #NotAlone.
